Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareKin mobile application ("the App") provided by Valorg Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using CareKin, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Permitted Use

CareKin is designed for personal, non-commercial use to help individuals and families coordinate care for loved ones. You may use the App solely for personal caregiving purposes. You may not use the App for commercial care management, resale, or any unlawful purpose.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use CareKin. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

CareKin offers the following subscription plans:

• Free tier: Basic features at no cost.
• Family plan: $3.99/month — extended features for a single care recipient.
• Multi-Care plan: $7.99/month — manage multiple care recipients and care circles.

Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play at any time: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Prices are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes.

4. Refund Policy

All subscription purchases are processed by Google Play. Refunds are subject to Google Play's standard refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Google Play support.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of all care information you enter into the App.
• Any decisions made based on information stored in CareKin.
• Ensuring that any family members you invite to your care circle have consented to being added.
• Complying with all applicable laws when using the App.

6. Medical Disclaimer

CareKin is a care coordination and organizational tool only. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Valorg Apps is not liable for any medical decisions made based on information stored or managed in the App. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code in the CareKin App are the intellectual property of Valorg Apps. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Valorg Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including loss of data, loss of income, or damages arising from reliance on information in the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and all your data will be removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or use the App for unauthorized purposes. In such cases we will notify you where reasonably practicable.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Continued use of CareKin after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
