This Privacy Policy explains how Valorg Apps ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the CareKin mobile application ("the App"). By using CareKin, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information: name and email address when you register.
- Care recipient data: names and details of the people you care for.
- Care activity data: appointments, care costs, medications, and tasks you add.
- Care circle data: names and email addresses of family members you invite.
We also collect limited technical information automatically:
- Device type and operating system version.
- Push notification tokens (to deliver reminders).
- App usage and crash logs (for debugging purposes only).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the CareKin app and its features.
- To send you appointment and task reminders via push notification.
- To authenticate your account securely.
- To manage your subscription and billing.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate CareKin. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — Cloud database and authentication. Data is stored in Supabase's secure infrastructure. supabase.com/privacy
- Firebase (Google) — Push notification delivery. policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google OAuth — Optional sign-in with Google. policies.google.com/privacy
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, and only as necessary to operate the App.
We may disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and care records associated with your account are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access: You can view all your data within the CareKin app.
- Correction: You can update your profile and care data at any time in the app.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Notifications: You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
7. Children's Privacy
CareKin is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted data storage and secure HTTPS communications. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through the app. Continued use of CareKin after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
